Why I Live This Way
You know I’ve done some things I’m not so proud of lately. I have felt like I have been crushed, broken, lost, and confused in so many ways. I looked for answers in all the wrong places many times, but when I saw this video and it just opened my eyes once again to how oblivious I am to life. I don’t know true pain after all. God loves everyone so much, more than anything, and yet people still choose to reject him. How does it make us feel when we have one person who doesn’t feel the same way towards us? I, nor many others, have been as brutally beaten and tortured like Jesus was that day at the cross. In fact I feel selfish for even complaining about the problems in my life after I watched that video. He did all of that for me, and everyone else, and what are the thanks that most people give Him? Sometimes I am a coward when I think about death; being shot, murdered, or even dying in my sleep. It draws me to the question of how many people would do that for someone who they love, much less those who don’t even acknowledge them? Even those who sit and insult, provoke, and mock God are loved by Him. Each lash and fall he took was for their sins. Every sin I sin, you sin, or anyone else does is one of those wounds. Is the amount of happiness we receive from our sins worth what we see happening to him in the video? He died so that our sins could be washed away from us, so that we may have eternal life in heaven if we believe in Him. It amazes me how the devil can fool so many into believing that all the wrong things are best for us. How he can deceive people into thinking there is no God, God won't mind, and etc. I just hope yall think about your life, your actions, your words, and how you live after watching the video. God is the perfect sign of love, look what he did for us! Open your eyes and hearts to him, because now you have seen a glimpse of what happened to him.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
-John 3:16
"For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again."
-2 Corinthians 5:14-15

Thanks for your thoughts, Lauren. It is deeply humbling to consider all that Christ went through emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually for us that day.
