The issue on Abortion

Why is it people go to jail when they murder a human being... whether one minute old, or one hundred years old, but when a mother aborts her child... it's okay? Why is it the unborn child, with hair, fingernails, toes, eyes, and a heart does not effect the mother, who concieved this small miracle, enough to let it live? What if that child would someday save your life, become a doctor and invent a cure for cancer, give you beautiful grand-children, or even lead somebody to Christ? Some argue the controversial issue that a fetus is not a child until born... but what verses give us examples that maybe, just maybe the child infact is a child of God as soon as it is conceived?

In the Bible, and in daily life, the words "man, woman, child, baby, and babe" are considered to being living beings, correct? Now in these following verses they speak of a "fetus" as some would call them... but pay close attention to the words the Lord uses to explain the "fetus" in the wombs....

Luke 1:41 When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Luke 2:12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in clothes and lying in a manger.

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

Psalm 139:13-16
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Now that you've seen some examples... clearly in the bible it states that a human is a child of God when even in the womb. Now that I have brought up the point that abortion could be the shedding of innocent blood, look at this verse.

Proverbs 6:16-17 There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him:17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood

Now many of those who choose to get abortions, later have deep regrets, sorrows, and mental disorders after their decision. Why is this? Could it be the Holy Ghost dwelling inside of them acting as a contious... notifying them of what they did was againest God's will perhaps? If a baby is conceived, it is part of God's will in life. God created humans to be his children, the highest form of life on earth... and he loves each and every one of us equally and continuously. Think about this... when a woman aborts a child, is she drawing a conclusion that that child is not worthy to live as God planned for it to? Is it not as special, precious, or lovable in the eyes of the Lord? It is! God loves all, no matter what, so why would you abort a child of God?

To abort a child may mean you're scared, un-prepared, not parent material, or selfish. But you should not turn you're back to the Lord! Trust in him, his plan for you, his plan for you're unborn child! The Lord promises to feed, clothe, and fufill you if you have faith, love, obey, and trust in him. Read the following verse below... as it states that running away from his plan is not having faith in him, but sinning.

Romans 14:23 But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

Now for my conclusion... I hope all that read this take this in. Read the word of God... for it may not give us the direct answers to life, but will guide us to form a relationship with God so that we may obey him and go down the right path. Don't allow your mind to conform to the way modern day society thinks… just because it's legal, celebrities do it, or anbody in general, it doesn't always mean it's honoring to God. Do not be afraid, He is always there with you and will never leave you. He is a loving, forgiving, and gracious Lord. Especially in times like abortion which are so contriversial... go to the word, and ask for his guidance in prayer.
