iLove
Perhaps it’s too many romantic movies or songs I’ve listened to, but I once again want to write about love. Many posts ago I wrote about purity in love, but now I want to write about the feeling and actions that come along with it; or so I believe. God designed each of us for a purpose, and the majority of people will find someone who means the world to them. They give their heart away in hopes of being with that person forever, sharing life experiences, and never losing faith in their love. To me the heart is one of the most precious attributes God gave humans. God, the ultimate source of love, allows us to love as he loves us. Now we can never come close to the love he has for us, but we can always learn what love is through Him. If we know God we know how to love, but it’s all a choice. God chose to send his son for our sins and to open heaven for us even though we aren’t righteous or worthy of his blessings. Though we continuously mess up in life he never forsakes or leaves us, and that’s what love is. It’s not all about passion, feelings on top of clouds, or being cute and cuddly. It’s a sacrifice, a feeling where you will do anything for the person. You don’t see the person for their flaws or mistakes but love them for who they are. Sure they can make you so angry that you want to strangle them, but at the end of every night they are the last person you think of and you wouldn’t want to spend a day without knowing they are yours and you are theirs. You willingly want to show your appreciation or love by doing things for them without them asking, and not seeking anything in return. Love is not a contest, not a game to see who does the most work or who puts the most into it. It’s not about winning over a person or trying to look your best to let the person notice you or want you. It’s not filled with jealousy, envy, or not trusting. It’s when you see the person as beautiful even if they’re looking their worst. Where your heart doesn’t look on the outward appearance, infact sight has no effect on your feelings. When your heart and mind speaks louder than the eyes and physical touch. The money, the looks, the sex, all of that can be temporary happiness; it’s all having fun. Having fun and being in love are two different things. You also want to protect and not bring a person into anything harmful or to change them for the worst. Next time you think you have love at first sight be sure to take a second look, because it might save you a lifetime of pain and regret. One thing I’ve learned is a person may love you, not the way you want, but with everything they have to give. They may not have the money for nice gifts, dinners, or diamonds but that’s a materialistic outlook on love in this world today. Sometimes just looking into the persons eyes can tell you the amount of love they have for you, how far theyd go for you, or how long they want to be with you. The eye can see into the heart. I forget sometimes it’s all the little things that make up the big picture, because without the small things there would never be anything. In love you never give up, despite the hard times. You never lose hope, faith, trust, or dignity. If you find someone who makes you feel that way, or do the things you do don’t mess it up. Whatever you do don’t let that person slip away or go a day without telling them excatly how you feel towards them. Love is a precious gift from God not intended to be mistreated or underestimated, but when you do find it cherish it.
